Papers, 1966-1970.

Collection includes correspondence, research material, and newspaper clippings concerning Reichardt's four year tenure as a state Senator (1966-1970). The correspondence--arranged topically rather than chronologically--serves as a source for Senator Reichardt's views on the issues. The research materials are, in part, compilations of the data, legislative bills, and general information that the Senator must have read or considered before he wrote a speech, sponsored a bill, or took a stand on an issue. The newspaper clippings include material sent to Reichardt by his constituency, his colleagues, or saved by his staff, and they cover all topics--political and personal. Included are materials on the Forrest Evashevski controversy.
